At how many schools (including the school of initial appointment)
do teachers serve in relation to the length of their service years? The actual
state of this question, as observed for local elementary and lower secondary
schools, local and private upper secondary schools and national and private universities
respectively, is shown in Chart 3-19.
It indicates that, in every type of school except national universities,
the longer the teachers' service, the larger grow the number of schools in which
they serve, and the higher the school level, the smaller is the number of schools
in which they serve. As to the average number of schools where teachers with
26-30 service years serve, teachers of local elementary and lower secondary schools
serve in the greatest nurnber at 5.2 schools, followed by those of local upper
secondary schools at 3.4, those of private upper secondary schools at 2.4 aitd
those of national universities at 1.8 in thar order.
